The microphone isn't working. What should I do?
Make sure you've granted microphone access in your browser. In Chrome, click the padlock icon in the address bar → Site settings → Microphone → Allow. Then refresh the page and try again.
The AI voice sounds robotic. How do I get realistic voices?
The realistic voices are powered by ElevenLabs. Select "ElevenLabs" in the Voice Engine section on the setup screen. This requires a Pro plan with your ElevenLabs API key configured.
How is the overall score calculated?
Your score is a weighted average across six categories: Communication Clarity (20%), Technical Depth (25%), Confidence (15%), Answer Structure (20%), Critical Thinking (10%), and Cultural Fit (10%). Each category is scored 0–100 by the AI based on your answers.
Can I retry the same interview setup?
Yes. On the results screen, click "Retry Same Setup" to run the same persona and field again. This is useful for practicing the same role until your score improves.
What browsers are supported?
InterviewAI works best in Chrome and Edge. Firefox is supported for text mode. Safari may have limited microphone support — Chrome is recommended for voice-based interviews.
How many questions does each interview have?
Each session includes 6 questions. After your 6th answer, the AI generates your full performance report.
